Racist Emails and Mayor Bertrand Sellier's Public Misrepresentation

"A lie of omission is an intentional failure to tell the truth in a situation requiring disclosure," says one definition.

Are you listening, Mayor Sellier? ...... MORE.....
Another accepted explanation includes, "A lie of omission is a method of deception and duplicity that uses the technique of simply remaining silent when 'speaking the truth would significantly alter the other person's capacity to make an informed decision.'"

And many people's favorite, "The biggest lie about lies: a lie of omission is not a lie!"

ENTER: the Mayor of Pelham Manor, New York- Bertrand C. Sellier who, on January 26, 2015, felt that "it was important to report to the residents of the Village [of Pelham Manor] about these matters."  (See documents below)

SELLIER REPORTS:  That a Jamainne Hall had been arrested (February, 2013), and the mayor goes on to "explain" certain actions of the involved police officers....

SELLIER OMISSION ?:  Why didn't the mayor reveal that Jamainne Hall had a criminal history, having been arrested in Pelham Manor in April of 2010 and the fact that just recently, Jamainne Hall had been arrested in the Bronx?  (See documents below)

SELLIER REPORTS:  That he received information on December 15, 2014 regarding the Pelham Manor Police Chief, Alfred Mosiello, and racist emails.....

SELLIER OMISSION ?:  Why didn't Mayor Sellier specifically reveal if December 15, 2014 was the first time he (Mayor Sellier) became aware of the Police Chief's racist emails?   Is Mayor Sellier saying that he did not know about those racists emails, or of the police chief's other alleged racist statements, opinions, directives, etc., prior to December 15, 2014 ?

SELLIER OMISSION ?:  Pelham Manor Mayor Sellier fails to explain how the ticketing and/or arrest of ANY non-white in Pelham Manor is not now forever impacted.  Every non-white can now easily say his/her arrest came from the known and admitted-racist-email-sending police chief, Alfred Mosiello.

So many, many questions, Mayor Sellier..........

What does mayoral candidate Jennifer Lapey have to say about this?
What does mayoral candidate Neal Schwarzfeld have to say about this?

  1. I was quite alarmed when I saw the video of Mayor Randy Sellier reading his statement. Randy looked so uneasy, like a prisoner being forced to read a statement full of lies.

I was also taken aback by what appeared to be the complete lack of standing behind the rank and file members of the village PD.

And only now we learn that this guy Hall is a time-tested criminal and village trouble maker. This is not a good situation.

  2. All I know from a lawyer friend is THE FACT that the taxpayers of Pelham Manor have spent MILLIONS OF DOLLARS since John Pierpont became the Village Manager.

Something is VERY WRONG with this. NUMBERS DON'T LIE !

Can we have a citizen's group get a audit done ?

  3. The whole statement the mayor released was factually wrong. He said the tickets and the arrest of Hall were dismissed. WRONG not one of them were dismissed who told you that Mr. Mayor. You said there was no ticket fixing in the case where your officer was in a coma. WRONG that will proven in the civil case. Pierpont said there was no decision on the police chief 3 weeks after the board made a decision. What do you think Mr. Mayor the residents of Pelham Manor are stupid far from it. Why have you or the just as dumb police commissioner not spoken to any present or past officers to get a handle on things why because you don't care. Keep listening to Pierpont and the village will be broke from paying lawsuits. This is not going away anytime soon. But you two should go now an take Pierpont and hate the world police chief Mosiello with you.
